About the Photographer

It all Happened When.....

Nicholas Strong currently lives and resides on his family farm since the year 2000.  Presently, Nicholas works at Publix Supermarket in Florence, Alabama.  Since purchasing his first camera in 2010, Nicholas has learned to capture many moments throughout the Shoals Area.  In 2017, Nicholas undertook the challenge of low-light photography in his latest portfolio, "Sights & Lights".  Nicholas also completed two previous portfolios, "Perspectives" and "Shoals after Dark"; however, he has found the most enjoyment in mastering the art of low-light photography.  Nicholas' first photographic achievement occurred in 2017 when "Water Art", "Sunset by the O'Neal", and "Harrison Plaza"  were displayed in Arts Alive 2017.  The Following year, "American Spirit", "Fisherman's Paradise", and "Choppin' Cotton" were also displayed in Arts Alive 2018. However, Nicholas won his first prize when "Choppin' Cotton" won the Waterman Photography Award. Recently, "Fisherman's Paradise" won the Tourism Board Contest, and "Foggy Sunrise" won the PSI Calendar Contest. Even with these accolades, Nicholas plans to pursue his love of photography by capturing the beauty of the Shoals Area and many other places throughout the coming years.
